MF Services were awarded the contract to replace all 65 existing Pay & Display machines in the pedestrian areas surrounding Kilkenny Castle. The former, coin only, machines have been successfully replaced with IPS MS1s, the latest generation of unattended payment systems.
Customers now have the added flexibility of making transactions using the new PCI Level 1 and PA DSS 3.2 card reader that supports credit card payment, as well as apple pay and google pay.
In operation since September 2022, over 40 % of all transactions are now completed using card payment.
Features:
- The MS1 features robust hardware design, which includes a stainless-steel cabinet and armoured glass.
- Solar powered panels and combination battery packs to maximise solar autonomy.
- High security stainless steel housing (standard) with anti-graffiti coating makes it both durable and easy to maintain.
- Customer-focused IntelliTouch™ transaction processing features.
Operation and Maintenance
MF Services are pleased to have also been awarded an additional four-year Maintenance Contract with Kilkenny City Council where we are responsible for providing weekly checks, replacing ticket rolls and ensuring that the machines are 100% operational 100% of the time.
Full access control is supported through the IPS data management software allowing Kilkenny County Council to monitor and obtain instant reports on the operational aspects of the machine.
